- Students not meeting the minimum direct entry for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)may be eligible for admission subject to successful completion of additional remedial subjects identified by the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences.

Credit for Prior Learning

If you are seeking advanced standing status, you will need to submit an official academic transcripts showing all courses studied and the grades obtained, syllabus details (including information on course content) for the courses you have successfully completed and an explanation of the grading system.

English Language Requirements

At UOWD, all classes are taught in English and in order to enrol in a bachelor’s degree you will need to submit one of the following certificate of English language proficiency:

English Test
If you do not have the required evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL) you may take the Accuplacer English Test to establish your language level. The test is conducted on a regular basis and you can register for the test at the same time as you lodge your university application for admission to UOWD.
English language programs for University studies and IELTS preparation are available at the University’s English Language Centre.
Note: UOWD accepts only IELTS Academic taken on paper or on computer at an official test centre. IELTS Online (at-home version) and TOEFL Home Edition are not accepted.

Placement Tests

Eligible students should complete Placement Tests in Mathematics and Physics and achieve a minimum score of 60% in each test. Students who score less than 60% in their placement tests would be required to complete remedial subject(s) in their first trimester.

Challenge Tests

Students have the opportunity to attempt Challenge Tests only during their first trimester of study. This test is specifically designed for those seeking advanced standing in any of the following University Freshman Subjects.
