The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine program, under the Department of Veterinary Medicine, UAEU College of Agriculture Veterinary Medicine, accepted its first students in 2014 with the mandate of training primarily Emirati veterinarians based on a 5-year, 175 credit hour curriculum that culminates in conferral of the BVM degree. Graduates are instrumental in the delivery of veterinary services in the UAE where they are expected to take up private and public sector employment opportunities that are pertinent to ensuring both animal and public health, as well as food safety and security in the country.
