Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, graduates will be able to:

Demonstrate the knowledge to conduct speech and hearing screenings for the early detection of communication disorders
Apply evidence-based diagnostic evaluation methods for individuals with Speech and hearing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans for individuals with Speech and hearing disorders.
Demonstrate effective communication and counselling skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Use health informatics and patient care technology in the management of patient care.
Analyze and apply current research knowledge in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Academic Requirements

The program requires students to take 24 credit hours, 18 of which are compulsory and the 6 are electives. Seven domains are covered: English Language, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, UAE Studies, Humanities, Social and Arts, Natural and Health Sciences. Every student should take all courses in Domains A to E and one course from each of domains F, G and H.
The college requirements (24 credit hours) are common courses taken by several undergraduate programs offered in the college programs.
The Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech Pathology program, requires, a mandatory program requirement (PR) of 88 credit hours to fulfil the program.
