The Ministry of Health has decided that graduates of the clinical pharmacy program (PharmD) will be evaluated as pharmacists without the requirement of 6 months experience. After two years of experience in a hospital as clinical pharmacists, they can apply for the clinical pharmacist designation. This exemption allows GMU PharmD graduates to be 6 months ahead of other Bachelor of Pharmacy graduates in the UAE. Graduates who work for two years in a hospital performing clinical pharmacy roles will be eligible to sit for the "Clinical Pharmacist" license exam.
