Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, has introduced a certificate program in ‘Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare’, which will equip students, researchers and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to apply AI in the healthcare environment. The program will address the challenge of a shortage of professionals who have the skills and training to capitalize on the rapid changes AI is bringing about in healthcare systems and practices globally. The new program also comes in the wake of the UAE’s AI Strategy which seeks to deploy AI across key sectors including healthcare.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, graduates will be able to:

Participants gained introductory knowledge and understanding about AI, its various techniques and tools, applications in business and medicine, challenges and solutions, image processing and object recognition, etc.

Academic Requirements

The applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 years of school education.
The applicant must have passed English Language Proficiency Tests with a minimum score as follows: TOEFL CBT 173 – iBT 61 or 5.0 in IELTS for Academic
Applicants from UAE educational systems (all tracks) must have secured a minimum aggregate score equivalent to 60% in Grade 12.
Applicants from any other non-UAE educational system must submit an Equivalency Certificate from the Ministry of Education, UAE.
Applicants from any other non-UAE educational systems not listed above must have secured a minimum aggregate score equivalent to UAE 60% per WES conversion table.
The applicant must have passed Math in any of the following grades: 11th or 12th.

Equivalency Certificate from the Ministry of Education, UAE for international curriculum
